What kind of symptoms can I be treated for?

We mainly provide consultations for mild internal medicine conditions such as colds, influenza, COVID-19, gastroenteritis, and hay fever. If you have any emergency symptoms or a serious illness, please visit a nearby emergency hospital. If you have difficulty finding one, please consult with the front desk staff of your accommodation.

What kind of doctors will see me?

At our clinic, only doctors with over 15 years of clinical experience provide consultations. They are equipped to handle a wide range of medical fields, including internal medicine, dermatology, pediatrics, and minor injury treatment.

How much does the consultation cost?

You can choose from three fixed-price plans (¥45,000, ¥50,000, ¥55,000), which include consultation fees, prescriptions, and transportation costs. If a referral to a specialized hospital is required, a fee of ¥40,000 including the issuance of a medical referral letter will be charged instead of the fixed-price plan. In case of emergency, please call 119.

Can you provide services in languages other than Japanese?

Yes, we offer services in English, Chinese, and Korean. We can also accommodate Thai, Vietnamese, Spanish, German, French, Russian, and Malay. However, our website and medical questionnaire are available only in English, Chinese, and Korean. For other languages, please use your browser's translation feature.

Can I receive medical treatment outside of my accommodation?

No. We do not accept medical treatment outdoors or in public places. If we cannot confirm that you are staying at your accommodation, we cannot accept your consultation.

Which areas are covered for medical consultation?

We serve 13 central wards in Tokyo: Chiyoda, Chuo, Minato, Shibuya, Shinjuku, Bunkyo, Taito, Sumida, Koto, Shinagawa, Meguro, Nakano, Toshima. Service may also be available within 40 minutes from Shinagawa, including parts of Yokohama and Chiba. If the address is outside our service area, we will notify you via email.

Can I get antibiotics in Tokyo?

Antibiotics are not available in Japan without a doctor's prescription. At TOKYO CLINIC, after a medical examination, we prescribe appropriate antibiotics if they are necessary for the patient.

Consultation & Payment Policy

For house call consultations, TOKYO CLINIC does not process Guarantee of Payment (GOP) letters directly. Instead, we follow a simple advance-payment process, which allows us to confirm the case and dispatch a physician to the patient's hotel quickly.

Step 1

Symptom Check

We ask for the patient's age, sex, and a description of symptoms. This confirms the case is appropriate for a house call rather than emergency hospital care. If appropriate, we provide an estimated arrival time.

Step 2

Advance Payment

We send a secure online payment link for the consultation fee. Once payment is confirmed, we proceed to the next step.

Step 3

Questionnaire & Dispatch

We send a detailed medical questionnaire to ensure accurate diagnosis and proper documentation. After reviewing it, the physician proceeds to the patient's accommodation.

Insurance-referred consultations are provided at our Plan C (¥70,000)

This includes an in-person hotel visit, medication, and a medical certificate. Every visit includes the following documents:

If IV Drip Therapy is administered, the total becomes Plan C (¥70,000) + IV Drip (+¥20,000) = ¥90,000.
